Arrests Made At Wal-Mart

On December 18, 2011, MPO Fentress of the Hendersonville Police Department
investigated a shoplifting that occurred at Wal-Mart, 204 N. Anderson Lane. Jim
Montero and Lila Marie Pearl were taken into custody for shoplifting. Montero was
stopped coming from the men’s room with two video games secreted inside his pants.
He confessed he had taken the games into the men’s room, removed the wrapping and
security tags and then placed then down his pants in order to steal them from the store.

During the interview it was determined that there were more games located in
the truck that was in the possession of Montero. This investigation also revealed that
Montero was transporting these stolen video games to people in Alabama. The people in
Alabama were allegedly placing orders for Montero to fill. Montero stated he had been
caught, arrested and banned from several Wal-Mart stores in Alabama.

 

Lila Marie Pearl told investigators that over the past week they have either stolen or
attempted to steal property from Wal-Mart stores in:

Mt. Juliet TN (attempt only, no employees would give them games)
Lebanon TN (attempt only)
Huntsville AL area, per Pearl “Madison, Hampton Cove, and two locations on University
Dr.”
Moulton Al

Charged in this case were:
Jim Montero 49 years of age
Theft of Property over $1,000
Theft of property under $500
Criminal Trespassing
$5,000 bond

Lila Marie Pearl 34 years of age
Theft of Property over $1,000
Theft of property under $500
$3,500 bond
